I am completely overwhelmed with the idea that I can write anything of use in this blog. In the 4 days we have had ipad2's at IHS it would be impossible to write about everything that was learned!
Instruction with ipads is going well. We are finding ways to get the material to the kids via the ipads so they can highlight and take notes on the ipads.
I am still wanting to use paper to take notes for my new Stuco job. But my president promises me she will have a universal calendar for all of us....NOT on paper....but one we can BUMP to each others ipad. ahem........ I am so happy to still be learning!
Learned how to set up eclicker tests today using the ipad. Such a cool way to review material in class and see how they are comprehending the material! Bar graphs show how the class did immediately after each question. What a fun way to review the material and check answers immediately. Grades can be taken for each person answering questions. We used to have the actual 'clickers' where students pressed a,b,c,d. NOW this is all done via the ipad2! YAY for ipads!

Received an add on device for the ipad! YAY! It is called an iPad Camera Connection Kit. It has 2 pieces in the kit. One piece is a card reader and the other is a USB connect. More to tell later about the USB connect!!! I know how to use the card reader!!! Woo Hoo! Great way to import pictures from a digital camera to the ipad for a "quick" project in comic life......keynote.....pages templates.......

The recommended QR code scanner for IHS is a new one found by Greg Froese and Scott Flaming says it does MORE than ATT scanner. It is called Qrafter and is a FREE app! However there is nothing wrong with having both apps on the ipad. QRafter allows one student to scan the QR code and pass it on to students at their table or row just by holding the ipads beside each other... A FAST way to get going with your class instruction via QR codes you have made!
